Global Sources extends its contract with AsiaWorld-Expo to host China Sourcing Fairs in Hong Kong through 2014

SGS Consumer Testing Services announced today that it will be conducting a seminar about sourcing tactics for the fashion industry at the MAGIC conference that opens today in Las Vegas. The "Smart Sourcing" session on Tuesday, February 15, will provide insight into how leading brands and retailers address the myriad quality, regulatory and cost challenges involved in navigating today's global supply chain.

It was freezing cold in Frankfurt-am-Main in Germany, when between January 29^th, and February 1^st, 2011: The International Paper Trade Fair at the Frankfurt Messe took place.

 

The light grey sky was slowly entering the people’s souls, and very few people, in the trade fair’s time frame, would dare to go out there in the open cold of the streets, and if so, only under the warm reassurance of their thick garments.  

 

Others, nevertheless, would dare to cope with this inconvenient martial and cold winter:  People having their say in the paper business world and genuine people having an interest in this major element of human history.This major tool in the preservation of human thought, and its transmission to the following generations. Isn’t it wonderful opening a book, to realize in the process of reading a word, a line, a paragraph, a page, in the process of reading this material element called paper, that it is all about immateriality, that it is all about an author’s thoughts having survived centuries, and even more, millennia. 

 

Yes, the world was present to this great paper celebration without forgetting all those apparels going along with paper: office supplies, school articles, printers, computers, gift articles, wrapping, greeting cards, picture calendars, licensed articles, office paper, household paper, party and festive articles…

 

The world, indeed, gathered to this great paper celebration like Melchiors, Caspars and Balthazars.

 

We’ll cite: Egypt, of course, for the name of paper seems to originate from the famous Egyptian papyrus.
