I am easy to talk and friendly person. Takes little time to approach. Very much straight forward, person with clear objectives. After completion of my PG in Garment manufacturing technology form NIFT, I worked for Omega Designs an export house for around 3y10m as Section Manager- merch.. It was my first practical exp. Where I learned quality, production, merchandising, clientele service, Pricing and costing, marketing for US, UK, Dubai and India based buyers. I have been fully exposed to all kind of practical exp. Which are very much required and backbone to become a buyer. I learned the processes of handling all kind of fabrics and embellishments– chiffon, poplin, cambric, voile, georgette, s/j, cotton/spandex jerseys, gingham checks, prints, placements prints, emb. Handwork etc. I worked for ladies and children’s wear. Also exposed to their testing procedures, day to day verbal and written communication. After leaving this organization I joined Italian MNC- Gruppocoin as merchandiser - men’s wear. Where I exposed to Italian market their trends, design requirements, fitting issues, dealing with tirupur based suppliers. Where I learned prices negotiations, quotation all merchandising processes related to a buying office. I was exposed to all kind of men’s wear – formal shirts, casual shirts, Casual t-shirts, Night wears, Under garments, leather jackets, sweat shirts, socks, etc. Here also I have been exposed to ribs, single jerseys, plain, checks, and seer sucker fabrics, printed fabrics, with different washes like – carbon washes, peach finish, softener wash, vintage wash, etc. After leaving this organization I planned to continue my studies to learn the management skill for international business, I applied to some colleges in Canada. I found Canada being a developed country has lots of scope and resources which can get me to learn the international business skills due its diversified and multi cultural environment.
