Apparently Sillero Technologies has been busy creating innovative apps like this one lately. Two weeks ago they announced their upcoming Location Based Social Networking App called "LocoPing" and now "DigiFash". "We know people like apps...people like games...people like to use their down time at the carwash, in the car, waiting to be served, etc. to play games, shop for things and social network with friends on their mobile devices," said Ray Panah of Sillero Technologies. "We also know that checking yourself out in a new "Top" or "Casual Dress" is something girls would love to do on their mobile phones and tablets. Seeing how you look in that blue outfit rather than seeing it on some model or a headless mannequin can be the difference of Yay or Nay when buying something online. So we created this App with a twist of game-like experience so girls can actually use their down time to look for clothes, see how they look in them, and buy... right from their phone or tablet." This summer is going to be hot for DigiFash App. They are in the process of signing up several trendy vendors and adding them to their Mobile collection.
Fashion is expected to be one of the fastest growing sectors of online commerce and Sillero is banking on this. M and T Commerce (Mobile and Tablet Commerce), excluding Travel, doubled last year to more than $3.4 billion. (Source ABI Research) Those numbers showed a $2 billion increase from 2009. We are entering a highly innovative period for retail App-Based shopping. M and T Commerce has been fueled by massive migration of consumers to smartphones and tablets. More consumers are choosing mobile shopping over traditional online shopping. By 2015 M and T Commerce is estimated to be responsible for $163 billion dollars in sales globally. "We want a good chunk of that by introducing methods for shoppers to engage in more shopping right from their mobile device/tablets. They don't need to see themselves in the mirror before buying that top or casual dress. They can see how they look as if they were really wearing them. We are also launching the web-based version of the DigiFash tool which will help internet shoppers to have the same experience of seeing-what-they-look-in-clothes right from their computer," says Ray Panah.
