After its successful debut in February this year, CPM 2009 – Collection Première Moscow, will again feature the “CPM Store Concept”. Eastern Europe’s leading fashion trade fair will be held at the Expocenter in Moscow from February 24 – 27, 2009. With the “CPM Store Concept”, the organizer Igedo Company will offer providers of vendor-managed space systems a prominent platform and responds to the growing information need of Russian and Eastern European specialist retailers. The “CPM Store Concept” will be part of the “RFRF – Russian Fashion Retail Forum 2009”. In cooperation with the Russian fashion manufacturers’ association APRIM and the trade magazine “TextilWirtschaft International”, renowned Russian and international experts will present their new ideas and concepts relating to the development of the Russian/Eastern European fashion retail sector.

  “With its 25 exhibitors, the segment “CPM Store Concept” celebrated a successful premiere last February. The second “edition”, however, will be even better. We expect 40 exhibitors on the limited space in Hall 3. Here, the focus will not be on the collection alone but on all-encompassing systems for vendor-managed retail areas – and this is truly a positive enhancement for CPM,” commented Frank Hartmann, President and CEO of the Igedo Company.

  The “CPM Store Concept” is the perfect platform for the following exhibitor target groups:

§              -International manufacturer brands and converters with their own mono-label shop-in-shops, store-partnership and franchising concepts, who seek to implement vendor-managed retail areas with existing or new specialist retailers;

§         -Multiples and vertical operations with private brands interested in expanding their outlet-network with Russian partners or introducing franchise concepts in Russia or the CIS states;

§         -Holding companies, chain stores and operators of multi-brand store concepts planning to run franchise concepts with Russian partners;

§         -Operators of existing or development-stage shopping centers and shopping malls;

§         -Real-estate agencies and consultants.

and for the following visitor groups:

§         -Independent specialist retailers who wish to re-organize existing retail areas, expand by adding new areas or open new stores as mono-label franchises or multi-brand store-partnerships;

§         -Multi-brand chain stores that seek to launch or build new brands using corner or shop-in-shop concepts;

§         -Importers and wholesalers;

§         -Master-franchisors for marketing of mono-label store concepts;

§         -Investors interested in funding mono-label shop concepts or developing and expanding outlets;

§         -Operators of shopping centers and shopping malls.

  Shop-in-shops, store-partnership and franchising concepts in the Russian specialist apparel retail industry have increased considerably over the past few years. The number of retail centers, shopping malls and department stores in Russia has nearly doubled since 2006 (currently there are 545). Moscow alone has 136 of these centers and a further 256 are located in the 13 major provincial cities with its over 18 million residents. The Russian fashion retail sector therefore focuses increasingly on the logistically controlled management of sales areas following Western patterns.
