Cutter and Buck Introduces Performance with Style to the Corporate Apparel Market
While classic styling, quality craftsmanship and luxury fabric have always been the hallmark of Cutter & Buck, this spring the Cutter & Buck name will also be synonymous with performance. In addition to vibrant colors and distinctive finishes, the Spring 2008 offering marks the introduction of several new technical products for the corporate wearables market that combine the best in performance and luxury.
Many of these performance fabrics will be making their debut at the promotional products industry's biggest event, the PPAI Expo in January. Of particular note is the launch of the Cutter & Buck DryTec Luxe(TM) performance fabric. As the name implies, this is a special garment that incorporates luxury with advanced moisture management capabilities. "What
makes this product great is its versatility, said Julie Snow, vice president of design and merchandising. "Our products combine beautiful jacquards and subtle pattern work, which can be worn on the golf course or out to dinner with a sport coat. Over the past several seasons, we've seen a growing demand for golf inspired sportswear in the corporate market, so this is the perfect garment for the consumer who wants and expects more from his apparel."
The introduction of CB DryTec Luxe(TM) complements the existing line of CB ProTec(TM), which includes the CB WindTec(TM) collection. This spring CB WindTec(TM) will be offered in five new styles that are perfect for everyday wear. Each style is wind, water and stain-resistant as well as lightweight and breathable. The collection offers the best in modern design coupled with the durability that consumers need in performance outerwear.
"It's not enough to look good, our customers need to feel good as well," said Snow. "This means incorporating the latest performance technology into our fabrics to keep our customers stylish and comfortable in any environment. We're really excited about the depth and breadth of our performance offering for spring and we think our customers will feel the
same way."
Another first from Cutter & Buck for the corporate market is the introduction of Cocona(TM), a patented carbon based technology derived from coconut shells. Cocona(TM) is unique because the technology is embedded in the fibers, which means its evaporative cooling, UV protection and odor absorbing properties last for the life of the garment. "We've seen a lot of success with this particular fabric in the golf market, so we anticipate the same sort of reception from the corporate consumer," offered Snow.
NanoTex(TM) is yet another technology that Cutter & Buck introduced in the golf market, which will now be available for corporate consumers. "This product offers our consumers the benefits of natural breathability and moisture wicking for the life of the garment without sacrificing comfort," said Snow. NanoTex(TM) uses nanotechnology which transforms the molecular structure of the fabric's fibers. The result is a garment that offers coolness, comfort and durability.
"We know we're a leader in premium apparel, but we're also proud of our commitment to finding and sourcing the latest in innovative technologies," said Jeff Smith, national corporate sales manager. "I think our Spring 2008 collection demonstrates that performance doesn't mean sacrificing quality or style."
