As a revived interest in sewing
hits America, the new My Label 3D Fashion Pattern Software by Bernina makes it possible for just about anyone to design their own clothes with an accurate fit.

My Label allows sewers to use a home computer to create customized patterns after entering personal body measurements, and then view a 3D mannequin that models a garment during every step of the garment design process, before printing an accurate pattern with complete sewing instructions.

As a revived interest in sewing hits America, the new My Label 3D Fashion Pattern Software by Bernina makes it possible for just about anyone to design their own clothes with an accurate fit.

My Label allows sewers to use a home computer to create customized patterns after entering personal body measurements, and then view a 3D mannequin that models a garment during every step of the garment design process, before printing an accurate pattern with complete sewing instructions.

With the unique ability to see before you sew, My Label software is now available at Bernina Dealers throughout the United States.

"In developing My Label, we tapped into the same pattern-making technology used by many full-time fashion designers and even some popular TV hosts to give any sewer the confidence to express individuality and create her own personal fashion line," said Martin Favre, president of Bernina of America. "And while patterns created using Bernina My Label Software can be sewn on any brand of sewing machine, we hope to encourage serious garment sewers to experience Bernina's cutting-edge technology."

My Label users can choose from 20 traditional garment patterns, including pants, skirts, tops and jackets. From there, a sewer has extensive possibilities for customizing each piece with embroidery and decorative stitches, as well as style property changes. Once an outfit is
designed, the final step is printing the pattern on a home printer or sending it to a local copy shop for printing on a plotter. My Label software can store multiple profiles, which is a useful feature for women who sew for multiple family members or who own a small business.
