Long before every other fashion event wore trendy green, Ethical Fashion Show(R) embraced sustainability at its core. More than this year's hot trend, the event's organizers believe that sustainability is a long term fundamental. Now in its fourth year, Ethical Fashion Show(R) is keeping with the spirit that made the event a seminal success: associating content (conferences and exhibitions) with style!
Designers coming from all over the world share common values : production in a safe and socially responsible environment, an emphasis on Fair Trade, the use of organic, sustainable fibers and recycling.
Event founder Isabelle Quehe declares, << This year, Ethical Fashion Show(R) Paris will display designers coming from all five continents: countries like France, Switzerland, the UK, Canada, The United States, India and the Netherlands, but also Australia, China, Senegal, Peru, Brazil, the Philippines, Chile, Columbia, Indonesia and Azerbaijan ! What sets us apart from other fashion events is that, in addition to featuring eco-fashion, they insist on paying homage to ancestral textile traditions, very often threatened by globalization.
Thursday, October 11th, 2007 (Trade day)

12 noon : Showrooms open
- 2 pm : Conference << Lifestyles : bobos, hippies, trendy lefties,
proactive consumers, trendsetters... Who buys ethical fashion? >>
- 7 pm : Inauguration and Ethical Fashion Show runway show (invitation
only) from a wide variety of designers from around the world.
They will be hosting a press luncheon at 12:30 on Thursday. If you'd like to attend, please contact Stephanie (contact information below).
Friday October 12th (Trade day)
- 10 am : Showrooms open
- 10 am : Conference : << The global garment industry : economic and
social issues.
- 2 pm - 4 pm : Conference << The global garment industry : environmental
issues>>
- 7 pm : Runway shows (invitation only)
- Leila Hafzi (Norway/Nepal)
- Fahkriya KHALAFOVA (Azerbaidjan)
- Sao Paulo Fashion Week (Brazil) The clothes will be modeled curtesy of the << Lente dos Sonhos >> modeling agency, by young women from a Rio de Janeiro favela Cidade de deus.
Saturday October 13th (Trade day)
- 10 am : showrooms open
- 10:30 am : Conference << Becoming an ethical fashion professional >>
- 6 pm : Award ceremony for three prizes
- Ethical Fashion Show 2007 winner

Conferences are moderated by a variety of professionals (trade
specialists, NGO's representatives, media...) free access with
