When I think of white mary janes, I'm reminded of my childhood when I use to wear these dainty white shoes every Sunday morning to church. I even remember rocking them with those cute ruffled white socks that draped over my ankles. Oh those were the days! Since then I haven't worn white mary janes. Maybe because I've always associated them with being too kiddish or cutesy but I've never thought about wearing them afterwards. But I've realized that I've been missing out on something. More recently there have been a ton of really fashionable and chic white mary jane designs that are worth checking out. Here are my four top picks.

1. L.A.M.B. Flavia Mary Jane (in ivory) $300

My first footwear pick has to be the Flavia Mary Jane by L.A.M.B. After setting my eyes on these shoes I absolutely went ga-ga over how unique these mary janes really are. With its 4-inch heel and peeptoe feature, these are definitely not the white mary janes I wore as a kid. What I love about these shoes is how it takes the classic mary jane look and takes it to the next level by adding an intricate weaving technique to all throughout the shoe. These mary janes are definitely one sexy pair.

2. Merona Tatiana Mary Jane Pumps $12

In second, the Merona Tatiana Mary Jane pump from Target is another high heel white mary jane, but is much more affordable at only $12! These are great everyday heels that you can wear to work, to a party or even when you go shopping. It has a simple peeptoe and two thin straps that across over the feet, making it a really darling pair of mary janes. So if you're looking for white mary janes that is not only cheap but really adorable, then look no further.

3. Enzo Angiolini Circle $110

The Enzo Angiolini Circle mary janes is probably one of my favorite white mary janes for the spring and summer. This fabulous piece has a cute cork wedge'perfect for those bright sunny days out. Another feature that I absolutely love are the little flower pedal-like cut outs around the toe and ankle sections of the sandal. This really makes it look cute and girly'which is something that I always strive to achieve in my look.

4. Easy Spirit Harper $80

Nothing says comfort like a flat, and I'm sure that all of us girls want a shoe that is not only fabulous, but easy to wear. Easy Spirit's Harper mary jane flats definitely combine these two elements rather well. What I love about these shoes is that it totally reminds me of my first pair of mary janes as a kid, just a little updated. With its silky satin exterior and delicate quilt stitching along the upper rim of the shoe, it really looks precious. And unlike the mary janes I worn back when I was 5, I don't have to wear them just to church, but any day of the week.
