Avery Dennison Retail Information Services Names Director of Marketing – RFID & Security

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.Avery Dennison Retail Information Services (RIS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Calderbank as director of marketing – RFID & Security.

In his new role, Calderbank will be responsible for Avery Dennison RIS’ worldwide strategy for RFID and security products.

 

Calderbank has spent the past 12 years in RFID-related businesses. He comes to Avery Dennison RIS from software integrator SEEBURGER, Inc., where he served as vice president, RFID. He earlier served as managing director & founding partner of Spectra Consulting, Ltd., where he was contracted to identify opportunities and develop an RFID consulting business throughout Europe for Deloitte. He has also held the position of director of global corporate marketing for Sensormatic Electronics Corp, Florida. Calderbank is past chair of the British Institute of Logistics RFID Forum, a body of more than 450 members associated with logistics and supply chain activities, and past chair of the British Standards Institute for Radio Frequency Identification WG4 ISO 18000 – 6.

 

Calderbank replaces Mischa Reis, who has been promoted to lead Avery Dennison’s strategy team in Pasadena, Calif., as director, corporate strategy and business development.
