When it comes to men's fashion, there is generally a main rule of thumb: keep it simple. Coming from a woman's point of view, I find that when men dress simple and more classic, they look put-together and mature. Many men make the mistake of wearing flashy, and just plain ugly black leather belts. So if you're one of those men that are in dire need of a fashion intervention, then may be you should read on, because I'm here to give you the dos and don'ts to wearing black leather belts.

Do: Choose a simple dressy-casual belt.

I know, you're probably thinking, what's with all the 'simple' talk again. But trust me, every single man needs a simple black leather belt'reason being? Really, there is no need to subject your girlfriend, date or significant other with these fashion monstrosities.

When it comes to modern men's wear, there is certain sleekness to it. Clean lines and modern designs are very much in style. But if you're just an average Joe, with a 9 to 5 job driving a mini-van, then please just leave the huge buckle belts to the real cowboys.
