We are just coming off the heels of New York's famed Fashion Week. Designers, celebrities, stylists, and editors were once again immersed into a world of bright lights and flashing cameras. This season, beauty trends, often subdued to highlight the clothes, took center stage.

A few of the must-have trends for this season's fashionistas and beauty junkies include:

Think pink. Pink was an important trend seen on the catwalks during New York Fashion Week. Narciso Rodriguez and L'Wren Scott embraced earthy pinks, deep roses, and soft hues. Dusted onto eyelids and cheeks, these shades were used to create an ethereal look.

Recreating these looks doesn't  have to break the bank. Try Pink Chill and Raspberry Satin (both $17.00) from FACE atelier's Think Pink collection or Vis-a-Vis' dusty pink Lipglaze, Innocence, for $18.00. Victorian Visage. Matte and flawless skin reigned supreme on the
catwalks. Unusual for summer, there was little bronze or sheen to be found. The look was pale and flawless.

To disguise under eye circles, spot treat and camouflage discolorations, try the Cover Me Duo Magic Concealer ($25.00) from Mineral Essence. Finish off by dusting FACE atelier's Ultra Loose Powder ($35.00) over the entire face. Because the powder is micronized and double sifted,  it disappears upon application and is completely invisible. Just a little Goth. Bold lips and dark smoky eyes were seen on models at Vena Cava, Marc Jacobs and Jason Wu. Designers seemed to be channeling vampire-esque "Twilight" with bold dark burgundy and red lips paired with strong intense eyes, all conspiring to rule the catwalk.

To recreate this look for Spring, there are a number of options. FACE atelier has a quartet of intense reds (all for $20.00) in shades from crimson to scarlet and Oh So Hot ($12.00) from Vis-a-Vis is right on target.  To get that dark, vampy eye, Paula's Choice Constant Color Gel Eyeliner in Onyx ($12.95) is a great, affordable choice. The unique cream gel texture allows the liner to glide on and can be blended for a sultry, smoky look.

Botticelli Waves. Flowing texture was key for hair during Fashion Week. Models wore "wet" looking hair , that was loose and had a hint of a salt water texture. Unruly low ponytails or braids were sported at shows like Erin Wassen RVCA, PHI, Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang.

For wavy textured hair that mimics beachy waves, use JOICO's Design Collection Texture Spray ($16.95) followed by their Flexible Shaping Spray ($17.95) to complete the look. Greige. Nails were extreme for spring 2010. Either dark and vampy or pale and neutral. Matte finishes will dominate Spring 2010, with little shine seen. butter LONDON's Pink Ribbon and La Moss ($14.00) will be staples for every woman. Other out of the box, unexpected colors like Cobalt Blue (as seen at Vena Cava) or completely bare (at Calvin Klein) were custom mixed by butter LONDON's Creative Director, Nonie Creme.

Whatever trend you choose to sport, the key for Spring 2010 will be looks that are cohesive but not too put-together. In the end, your look should seem effortless with a subtle undertone of flair.
