'Celebrity Stimulus Gifting Suite' Hosted By BET J's 'The Christies: Committed' Doug and Jackie Christie Pre-BET Awards

Raffles L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills opened its doors on Saturday, June 27th for celebrities to enjoy the 2009 Celebrity Stimulus Gifting Suite. The event was hosted by NBA power couple Doug and Jackie Christie.

    Jackie's 'Colored Girl' Clothing Line, an eco friendly 100% organic collection, designed by author and designer Jackie Christie, were displayed as well as her new bestselling book to the colored girl franchise titled: Proud to be a colored girl, and the new hit single also the third component to the cg line was gifted to the many celebrities and guests in attendance from her collection. The couple's daughter, recording artist/Author Chani Christie autographed her book 'I Want to Live' A Teenagers guide to finding self love!

    Other sponsors for this spectacular event included Akoo Apparel Clothing, EA Sports, Parish, Frida Kahlo Tequila, Flawless Vodka and several other top of the line products. Celebrities were able to take home many great gifts and surprises from the event, socialize, take part in the fun, and sample the highlight of the delectable desserts such as world famous Sprinkles cupcakes.

    Some of the celebrities who attended the event included Kym Whitley, Teairra Marie, Roscoe Umali, Billy Marquart, April Scott, Page Kennedy, and Raheem Devaugh, receiving clothing from Jackie Christie's Colored Girl Clothing Line while enjoying a Frida Kahlo Tequila cocktail. Other celebrities such as Norwood Young and Hosea Chanchez received clothing from Akoo Apparel and Parish Clothing while playing EA Sports' new video game, Fight Night Round 4. DJ Ever Ed-E provided the music for the event including many songs by Michael Jackson in memory of the Pop Legend from noon until 6:00PM when the Celebrity Stimulus Gifting Suite came to an end.

    The Celebrity Stimulus Gifting Suite began at Noon on Saturday and was extended one hour to 6:00PM due to the high attendance. All of the vendors were able to hand out pieces of their product to all of the celebrities who attended leaving no one empty handed upon departure.
