Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) today reported net sales of $202.4 million for the four-week period ended May 2, 2009, a 16% decrease from net sales of $241.0 million for the four-week period ended May 3, 2008. April comparable store sales decreased 22%. Total Company direct-to-consumer net sales decreased 24% to $15.2 million for the four-week period ended May 2, 2009, compared to the four-week period ended May 3, 2008.

Year-to-date, the Company reported a net sales decrease of 23% to $612.1 million from $800.1 million last year. Comparable store sales decreased 30% for the year-to-date period. Year-to-date, total Company direct-to-consumer net sales decreased 21% to $49.1 million.
