Neiman Marcus announced today the launch of The Heart of Neiman Marcus program in conjunction with the launch of The Ken Downing Gift Collection.

The Heart of Neiman Marcus is a national umbrella program that concentrates the company's charitable giving efforts around supporting arts experiences for youth.  Building a national program around this issue, including local activation and partners, enables Neiman Marcus to have a greater impact on the communities where stores are located and better align charitable efforts with the company's brand.

Neiman Marcus has had a long-standing alignment with the arts and is one of the few retailers in the world with a corporate art collection.  Exposure to the arts is a luxury that often requires specific access to enjoy.  Engagement with the arts, especially for young people, can impact educational performance and creativity and enhance community health.

To launch the campaign, Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing has curated an exclusive gift collection of 37 gifts ranging in price from $32 - $1800.  Ten percent of the sales of these gifts, from November 20th to December 25th, will benefit a local charity supporting art experiences for youth.  Forty-one different charities around the country have been selected.  Ten percent of all sales of The Ken Downing Gift Collection online, through, will go to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation.
